General Flood AdvisoryUnder present weather conditions, At 3:00 PM today, the center of Typhoon "NIKA" {TORAJI} was estimated based on all available data in the vicinity of Tadian, Mountain Province (17.0°N, 120.8°E) with maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h and gustiness of up to 200 km/h. It is moving West Northwestward at 25 km/h. The 12-hour rainfall forecast is moderate to heavy rains. WATERCOURSES STILL LIKELY TO BE AFFECTED : + **Ilocos Norte** - Rivers and its tributaries particularly Bulu, Banban, Bacarra-Vintar, Laoag and Quiaoit. + **Pangasinan** - Rivers and its tributaries particularly Balincaguing and Alaminos. + **Ilocos Sur** - Rivers and its tributaries particularly Lower Abra, Silay-Sta. Maria, Buaya, and Amburayan. + **La Union** - Rivers and its tributaries particularly Amburayan, Baroro, Lower Bauang and Aringay.People living near the mountain slopes and in the low lying areas of the above mentioned river systems and the **Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils** concerned advised to be alert for possible flashfloods and landslides.
