Heat Advisory issued June 23 at 1:39AM PDT until June 23 at 8:00PM PDT by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA* WHAT...Temperatures around 90 to 100 expected.* WHERE...A portion of southwest California.* WHEN...Until 8 PM PDT this evening.* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out ofthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loosefitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morningor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion andheat stroke.To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety andHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks inshaded or air conditioned environments.
