Heat Advisory issued June 4 at 1:23PM PDT until June 6 at 8:00PM PDT by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures up to 103expected.* WHERE...Cuyama Valley and Western San Gabriel Mountains to Highway14 Corridor.* WHEN...From 10 AM Wednesday to 8 PM PDT Thursday.* IMPACTS...Hot conditions will increase the risk for heat-relatedillness for sensitive populations including the very young, thevery old, and those active outdoors.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out ofthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Carinteriors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loosefitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morningor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion andheat stroke.To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety andHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks inshaded or air conditioned environments.
