Excessive Heat Warning issued June 5 at 12:52PM PDT until June 7 at 9:00PM PDT by NWS San Diego CA* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures of 100 to105 expected.* WHERE...Apple and Lucerne Valleys.* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 9 PM PDT Friday.* IMPACTS...Extreme heat will significantly increase thepotential for heat related illnesses, particularly for thoseworking or participating in outdoor activities.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Not quite as hot on Friday.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay outof the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Youngchildren and pets should never be left unattended in vehiclesunder any circumstances. This is especially true during warm orhot weather when car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in amatter of minutes.Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. Whenpossible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning orevening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heatstroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing whenpossible and drink plenty of water.
