Heat Advisory issued June 12 at 12:01PM PDT until June 13 at 6:00AM PDT by NWS Hanford CA* WHAT...High temperatures up to 104.* WHERE...The San Joaquin Valley from Fresno County southward,adjacent foothills, and the Kern River Valley.* WHEN...Until 6 AM PDT Thursday.* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Very warm overnight temperatures will keepheat stress impacts probable.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out ofthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loosefitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morningor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion andheat stroke.To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety andHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks inshaded or air conditioned environments.
