High Surf Advisory issued December 26 at 10:00PM PST until December 29 at 4:00AM PST by NWS San Francisco CA* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 20 to 30 feet.* WHERE...San Francisco, Coastal North Bay Including Point ReyesNational Seashore, San Francisco Peninsula Coast, NorthernMonterey Bay and Southern Monterey Bay and the Big Sur Coast.* WHEN...Until 4 AM PST Sunday.* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions andlocalized beach erosion can be expected. Large waves can sweepacross the beach without warning, pulling people into the seafrom rocks, jetties and beaches. Sudden immersion in coldwater can result in cold water shock even for the mostexperienced swimmers. Cold water shock can result in dramaticchanges in breathing, heart rate and blood pressure, greatlyincreasing the risk of drowning in rough open waters.Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due todangerous surf conditions.

Flood Advisory issued December 26 at 8:44PM PST until December 27 at 4:45AM PST by NWS San Francisco CA* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessiverainfall is occurring.* WHERE...A portion of northern California, including the followingcounties, San Francisco and northwestern San Mateo.* WHEN...Until 445 AM PST Friday.* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.Water over roadways.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 843 PM PST, local law enforcement reported flooding onHighway 1 near Interstate 280 merge south of Daly City.Between 0.2 and 0.3 inches of rain have fallen over the last24 hours.- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.6 to 1.2 inches are expectedover the area. This additional rain will result in minorflooding.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...San Francisco, Daly City, South San Francisco, San Bruno,Pacifica, Millbrae, Half Moon Bay, El Granada, Brisbane,Colma, Broadmoor, Montara and Moss Beach.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/floodTurn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
