Request to limit driving gas and diesel-powered vehicles is now in effect until at least 4 p.m. Monday,June 17, 2024. Hot and sunny weather may allow ozoneconcentrations to reach the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groupscategory on Sunday and Monday. The highest concentrations areexpected in the southwestern and western portions of the DenverMetro area, including locations in the foothills. For areasincluded in this advisory that are not expected to reach theUnhealthy for Sensitive Groups (USG) air quality designation, werequest that activities, such as driving non-ZEV vehicles (i.e.,gas or diesel), be reduced to lessen the impacts on neighboringair quality. Additional air pollution in this region may directlyworsen air quality or contribute to precursors which may alsoadversely affect air quality.
