Coastal Flood Warning issued May 10 at 5:12AM EDT until May 11 at 4:00AM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ* WHAT...One to two feet of inundation above ground levelexpected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidalwaterways.* WHERE...In Delaware, Kent. In New Jersey, Cumberland.* WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 4 AM EDT Saturday.* IMPACTS...At this level, widespread roadway flooding occurs incoastal and bayside communities and along inland tidalwaterways. Many roads become impassable. Some damage tovulnerable structures may begin to occur.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Increasing onshore flow during the daytoday combined with the higher astronomical tides will result inmoderate coastal flooding with tonight's high tide. Theincreasing onshore flow may also result in spotty minor coastalflooding with the daytime high tide today. Tonight's high tideis forecast to have the highest water levels and greatestimpacts with this stretch of coastal flooding, and high tidewater levels will lower over the weekend.Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. Iftravel is required, do not drive around barricades or throughwater of unknown depth.
