Coastal Flood Warning issued May 10 at 2:56AM EDT until May 11 at 4:00AM EDT by NWS Mount Holly NJ* WHAT...One to two feet of inundation above ground levelexpected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidalwaterways.* WHERE...Inland Sussex and Delaware Beaches.* WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 4 AM EDT Saturday.* IMPACTS...At this level, widespread roadway flooding occurs incoastal and bayside communities and along inland tidalwaterways. Many roads become impassable. Some damage tovulnerable structures may begin to occur.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Increasing onshore flow during the day onFriday combined with the higher astronomical tides willincrease the potential for moderate coastal flooding with theFriday night high tide. The Friday night high tide is forecastto have the highest water levels and greatest impacts withthis stretch of coastal flooding, and high tide water levelswill lower over the weekend.Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. Iftravel is required, do not drive around barricades or throughwater of unknown depth.
