Flood Advisory issued May 13 at 7:52PM EDT until May 13 at 11:00PM EDT by NWS Jacksonville FL* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.* WHERE...A portion of northern Florida, including the followingcounties, Alachua, Bradford, Columbia, Gilchrist and Union.* WHEN...Until 1100 PM EDT.* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 752 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due tothunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to beginshortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches ofrain have fallen.- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expectedover the area. This additional rain will result in minorflooding.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Gainesville, Starke, Worthington Spring, Alachua, HighSprings, Archer, Worthington Springs, University Of Florida,Gainesville Airport, Upland Pines, New River, Sampson,Newberry, Waldo, Hampton, La Crosse, Brooker and Dukes.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/floodTurn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
