Marine Weather Statement issued June 16 at 8:23PM EDT by NWS Tampa Bay Ruskin FLA Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...Coastal waters from Englewood to Tarpon Springs FL out 20 NM...Coastal waters from Tarpon Springs to Suwannee River FL out 20NM...Tampa Bay waters...Waters from Englewood to Tarpon Springs FL out 20 to 60 NM...Waters from Tarpon Springs to Suwannee River FL out 20 to 60 NM...At 823 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capableof producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms werelocated along a line extending from Tarpon Springs to near Saint PeteBeach to near Longboat Pass, moving west at 20 knots.Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higherwaves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harborimmediately until these storms pass.
