Flooding may occurin poor drainage and urban areas.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Areas of heavy rainfall will continue across much of northand central Georgia through early Friday which will likelylead to areas of flash flooding. Additional widespreadtorrential rainfall is expected to overspread the area todayas Hurricane Helene approaches. Storm total rainfall of 4 to10 inches with locally higher amounts over 12 inches areexpected through Friday. Hurricane Warning issued September 26 at 11:16AM EDT by NWS Peachtree City GA* LOCATIONS AFFECTED- Vienna* WIND- LATEST LOCAL FORECAST: Equivalent Strong Tropical Storm forcewind- Peak Wind Forecast: 55-70 mph with gusts to 95 mph- Window for Tropical Storm force winds: early this eveninguntil Friday morning- THREAT TO LIFE AND PROPERTY THAT INCLUDES TYPICAL FORECASTUNCERTAINTY IN TRACK, SIZE AND INTENSITY: Potential for wind 74to 110 mph- The wind threat has remained nearly steady from theprevious assessment.- PLAN: Plan for life-threatening wind of equivalent CAT 1 or2 hurricane force.- PREPARE: Remaining efforts to protect life and propertyshould be urgently completed. Prepare for considerable winddamage.- ACT: Move to safe shelter before the wind becomes hazardous.- POTENTIAL IMPACTS: Extensive- Considerable roof damage to sturdy buildings, with somehaving window, door, and garage door failures leading tostructural damage. Mobile homes severely damaged, with somedestroyed.
