Roads in several areas may be closed, alongwith property damage in urban or low lying spots due to runoff.Landslides may also occur in areas with steep terrain.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- A band of moderate to heavy showers with isolatedthunderstorms will slowly move through the western islandstoday, increasing the threat for flash flooding through thisevening. All islands in the Flood Watch area should beprepared for the possibility of flash flooding.You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take actionshould Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

High Surf Advisory issued May 17 at 3:22AM HST until May 18 at 6:00PM HST by NWS Honolulu HI...HIGH SURF ADVISORY FOR SOUTH FACING SHORES OF ALL HAWAIIANISLANDS UNTIL 6 PM HST SATURDAY....Rough conditions are expected along south facing shores todaydue to a combination of moderate to breezy onshore winds and along-period south-southwest swell peaking. This swell will lingerthrough the day Saturday, with the winds shifting back out of theeast to southeast direction.* WHAT...Surf of 7 to 10 feet.* WHERE...South-facing shores of all Hawaiian Islands.* WHEN...Until 6 PM HST Saturday.* IMPACTS...Moderate. Strong breaking waves and strong currentswill make swimming dangerous.Heed all advice from ocean safety officials. When in doubt, don'tgo out.

Flood Advisory issued May 17 at 3:33AM HST until May 17 at 5:00AM HST by NWS Honolulu HI* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.* WHERE...The island of Oahu in Honolulu County.* WHEN...Until 500 AM HST.* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and instreams.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 330 AM HST, radar indicated moderate to heavy rain overthe south shore and eastern portions of Oahu. Rain wasfalling at a rate of 0.5 to 1.0 inches per hour. Additionalrainfall is developing to the south and is expected tocontinue to move northward into Oahu during the next fewhours. Stream levels remain elevated across the island.- This advisory includes the entire island of Oahu.Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas proneto flooding.Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions dueto ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action.A Flood Watch is also in effect through Friday evening.
