Flash Flood Warning issued May 13 at 4:33PM HST until May 13 at 7:45PM HST by NWS Honolulu HIFFWHFOThe National Weather Service in Honolulu has extended the* Flash Flood Warning for...The island of Oahu in Honolulu County* Until 745 PM HST.* At 433 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain continued to fall overwindward Oahu, with rainfall especially heavy from Kaneohe toWaimanalo, with rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour. Up to 8inches of rain has fallen over the past six hours in the wettestareas, and widespread impactful flooding continues. Road closuresremain in place in many areas, with water covering roadways, andland slides also reported. Rainfall rates have decreased over theKahana and Waiahole area and the stream gauges are showing agradual decline in these areas.HAZARD...Heavy rain producing life threatening flash flooding.SOURCE...Radar.IMPACT...Flooding in drainages, streams, rivers, roads,properties, and other low-lying areas. Public roadclosures possible in some areas. Landslides arepossible in steep terrain.
