Winds will be strongest over ridges, through passesand near higher terrain.* WHEN...Until 6 PM HST Thursday.* IMPACTS...Winds this strong can tear off shingles, knock down treebranches, blow away tents and awnings and make it difficult tosteer, especially for drivers of high profile vehicles.Watch out for falling tree branches when walking or driving. Makesure tents and awnings are secure or take them down. Be prepared forpower outages.
