Hydrologic Outlook issued June 2 at 1:46PM MDT by NWS Boise IDESFBOIAs the rainfall event moves into the next 24 hours the locations ofhighest flood potential are becoming more clear. The West CentralMountains and Boise Mountains have been included in a Flood Watch.Confidence in flood potential for Baker County and the Weiser Basinis not high enough for inclusion in the Watch, but these zones maystill see increased river flows during and after the event.Continue to monitor the latest forecasts and river forecasts fromthe National Weather Service.

Flood Watch issued June 2 at 1:31PM MDT until June 4 at 12:00AM MDT by NWS Boise IDHeavy-moderate rain combined with high elevation snowmelt. Terraininduced storms Monday afternoon will cause locally much heavierrainfall. Flows in rivers may quickly increase and reach criticallevels. There is potential for mud and rockslides.* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall and snowmelt ispossible.* WHERE...A portion of west central Idaho, including the followingareas, Boise Mountains and West Central Mountains.* WHEN...From midnight MDT tonight through Monday evening.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Potential for mudand rockslides to block roads.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Forecast storm total rainfall is just under an inch inmountain valleys and up to 2-3 inches on ridges.
