Flood Advisory issued May 20 at 7:08PM CDT until May 20 at 10:15PM CDT by NWS Chicago IL* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.* WHERE...A portion of northwest Indiana, including the followingcounties, Jasper and Newton.* WHEN...Until 1015 PM CDT.* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Roadsand streets may be flooded.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 707 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due tothunderstorms. Isolated amounts between 1 and 3 inches ofrain have fallen near and just west of DeMotte.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...DeMotte, Wheatfield, Lake Village, Roselawn, Thayer,Stoutsburg and Sumava Resorts.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/floodA Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poordrainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring.
