Flood Watch issued May 23 at 9:07PM CDT until May 24 at 10:00AM CDT by NWS Omaha/Valley NE* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to bepossible.* WHERE...Portions of Iowa, including the following counties,Harrison, Monona, Pottawattamie and Shelby and Nebraska, includingthe following counties, Burt, Butler, Colfax, Cuming, Dodge,Douglas, Platte, Sarpy, Saunders and Washington.* WHEN...Through Friday morning.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeksand streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Recent heavy rainfall has led to saturated soils across thewatch area. Additional rainfall overnight could lead to flashflooding in some locations.You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible FloodWarnings.
