In Nebraska, Gage,Jefferson, Johnson, Nemaha, Pawnee, and Richardson Counties.* WHEN...For the first Heat Advisory, from 1 PM this afternoon to 8PM CDT this evening. For the second Heat Advisory, from 1 PM to 7PM CDT Tuesday.* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heatillnesses.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out ofthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loosefitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morningor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion andheat stroke.To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety andHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks inshaded or air conditioned environments. In addition, homes along the Nebraska side begin to beimpacted.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 8:15 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 25.6 feet...or 0.4 feetbelow flood stage.- Bankfull stage is 26.0 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stagelate this evening to a crest of 33.8 feet Thursday morning.It will then fall below flood stage Sunday, June 30.- Flood stage is 26.0 feet.Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
