Review flooding safety plans now and beprepared if you must take action.* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to bepossible.* WHERE...Portions of north central and northwest Iowa, includingthe following counties, in north central Iowa, Cerro Gordo,Hancock, Kossuth, Winnebago and Worth. In northwest Iowa, Emmetand Palo Alto.* WHEN...Until 1 PM CDT this afternoon.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occurin poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may beflooded. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks andrivers are possible.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Expected rainfall totals may exceed 4 to 7 inches in someareas with locally higher amounts are possible. Rapid risesin creeks, streams and urban flooding will be possible. Fieldflooding and washed out county roads will also be possible.Rainfall rates may approach 2 inches per hour in the heavierstorms.
