Flood Warning issued May 2 at 3:01PM CDT until May 4 at 2:23AM CDT by NWS Wichita KS...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas...Neosho River at Oswego affecting Labette and Cherokee Counties.Neosho River near Parsons affecting Labette and Neosho Counties.* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding isforecast.* WHERE...Neosho River at Oswego.* WHEN...Until early Saturday morning.* IMPACTS...At 22.5 feet, Riverside Park Drive floods from east ofXavier St, just south of the river gage bridge, to 100 yards easttowards the water plant.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 8:45 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 22.6 feet.- Bankfull stage is 17.0 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stagetomorrow morning and continue falling to 8.5 feet earlyTuesday afternoon.- Flood stage is 17.0 feet.Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize thedangers of flooding.Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly twofeet of water will carry most vehicles away.
