Coastal Flood Advisory issued May 11 at 7:48PM EDT until May 12 at 11:00AM EDT by NWS Wakefield VA* WHAT...One to locally two feet of inundation above groundlevel expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidalwaterways.* WHERE...Dorchester, Wicomico, Somerset and Inland WorcesterCounties.* WHEN...Until 11 AM EDT Sunday.* IMPACTS...Shallow flooding is expected in the most vulnerablelocations near the waterfront and shoreline resulting in a lowthreat of property damage. Expect up to one to locally twofeet of water above ground level in low lying, vulnerableareas. Some roads and low lying property including parkinglots, parks and lawns near the waterfront will experienceshallow flooding.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
