Coastal Flood Warning issued September 21 at 3:39PM EDT until September 24 at 12:00AM EDT by NWS Wakefield VA* WHAT...One to two feet of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.* WHERE...Dorchester, Wicomico and Somerset Counties.* WHEN...Until midnight EDT Monday night.* IMPACTS...Widespread flooding of vulnerable areas will resultin an elevated threat of property damage to homes and businessesnear the waterfront and shoreline. Water will be 1 to 2 feetabove ground level in some areas resulting in a sufficient depthto close numerous roads and threaten homes and businesses.Flooding will extend inland from the waterfront along tidalrivers and bays resulting in some road closures and flooding ofvehicles.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Additional flooding is likely through midweek.Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
