Flood Warning issued June 24 at 1:07PM CDT until June 25 at 10:00AM CDT by NWS Twin Cities/Chanhassen MNSmall creeks and streams continue to run high. There is a potentialof additional heavy rainfall expected this evening. The FloodWarning remains into Tuesday morning.* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.* WHERE...A portion of south central Minnesota, including thefollowing counties, Faribault, Freeborn and Martin.* WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT Tuesday.* IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Expectmany areas of slow moving or standing water. It will take severalhours for all the water from these storms to work through localdrainage systems in urban areas.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 106 PM CDT, emergency management reported ongoing floodingacross the warned area.- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall isexpected.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Albert Lea, Fairmont, Blue Earth, Wells, Winnebago, Sherburn,Truman, Trimont, Clarks Grove, Minnesota Lake, Welcome,Elmore, Alden, Glenville, Geneva, Emmons, Ceylon, Bricelyn,Hartland and London.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.
