Sensitive groups, such as people with lung disease(including asthma), heart disease, and children and older adults, mayexperience health effects.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A band of very heavy smoke from wildfires innortheast British Columbia has moved into northern Minnesota and willsweep south across the state on Sunday behind a cold front. Smoke hasalready arrived over much of northwestern Minnesota and will persistovernight. The time of maximum smoke impacts will be through lateSunday evening.Sensitive groups, such as people with lung disease (includingasthma), heart disease, and children and older adults, should avoidprolonged or heavy exertion. The general public should limitprolonged or heavy exertion.Reduce or eliminate activities that contribute to air pollution, suchas outdoor burning, and use of residential wood burning devices.Reduce vehicle trips and vehicle idling as much as possible.Keep windows closed overnight to prevent smoke from getting indoors.
