Flood Watch issued September 27 at 1:06PM CDT until September 28 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Paducah KY* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to bepossible.* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southeast Missouri,southwest Indiana, and western Kentucky.* WHEN...Through Saturday morning.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- The remnants of Hurricane Helene will continue to bringperiods of heavy rainfall to the area. 2-4 inches of rain hasalready fallen in the watch area. Additional rainfall amountsof 1-2 inches are possible through tonight. Treelimbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.Heavy rainfall may result in waterlogged soils making trees moresusceptible to falling.Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for highprofile vehicles.
