Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches and iceaccumulations around a light glaze.* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, and south centralNebraska.* WHEN...From 9 AM Saturday to 6 PM CST Sunday.* IMPACTS...Roads will likely become slick and hazardous.Visibilities may drop as low as 1/2 mile due to falling andblowing snow.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Freezing drizzle is expected to developthroughout the day on Saturday before mixing with and changing tosnow Saturday night. Once precipitation changes to snow, northerlywinds will increase and gust up to around 30 MPH, resulting inblowing and drifting snow. Snow and strong winds will taper offfrom west to east Sunday afternoon and evening, but very coldtemperatures will persist into Monday.Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution whiledriving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps takenon stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy andslippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
