Fire Weather Watch issued May 23 at 8:35PM MDT until May 25 at 9:00PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM...FIRE WEATHER WATCH FRIDAY FROM 3 TO 7 PM FOR THE NORTHEASTHIGHLANDS DUE TO STRONG WIND AND LOW HUMIDITY......FIRE WEATHER WATCH SATURDAY FROM 11 AM TO 9 PM AREAWIDE DUE TOSTRONG WIND, LOW HUMIDITY, AND AN UNSTABLE ATMOSPHERE....A fire growing pattern will continue through Sunday with criticalfire weather conditions the most widespread on Saturday. Widespreadelevated fire weather conditions are expected Friday, with locallycritical conditions in the Northeast Highlands. Winds will be thelimiting factor for more widespread critical conditions Friday.Critical fire weather conditions become more widespread Saturdaywhen gusts of 40 to 50 mph will be common, especially over the highterrain. Haines Indices will range from 5 to 6 for most of the areaon Saturday afternoon. Elevated to locally critical conditions arelikely again from the central mountain chain eastward on Sunday.* AREA AND TIMING...Northeast Highlands Friday from 3 to 7 PM,and Saturday from 11 AM to 9 PM.* 20 FOOT WINDS...For Friday, south and southwest winds 15 to 25mph with gusts up to 35 mph. For Saturday, southwest winds 25 to35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values around 12 percent Friday,and around 10 percent Saturday.* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.Outdoor burning is not recommended.Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in thefield of this Fire Weather Watch.
