Red Flag Warning issued June 17 at 1:51AM MDT until June 17 at 8:00PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH THIS EVENINGFOR MUCH OF WESTERN NM AND PORTIONS OF NORTHERN DUE TO VERY LOWHUMIDITY, GUSTY WINDS AND AN UNSTABLE ATMOSPHERE....Stronger west to southwest winds will develop this afternoon withdeep atmospheric mixing and an extremely dry airmass in place.The main threat areas for the spread of fire will be west of theContinental Divide, the Upper Rio Grande Valley and the NortheastHighlands where winds will be strongest.* AREA AND TIMING...Northwest Plateau (Zone 101), West CentralMountains (Zone 105) and the West Central Basin and Range(Zone 109).* 20 FOOT WINDS...West to southwest at 20 to 25 mph withoccasional gusts up to 35 mph by late afternoon.* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...5 to 10 percent.* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.Outdoor burning is not recommended.Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in thefield of this Red Flag Warning.
