Coastal Flood Advisory issued November 15 at 1:28PM EST until November 16 at 11:00AM EST by NWS Upton NY* WHAT...One to locally two feet inundation above ground levelexpected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline.* WHERE...Richmond (Staten Island), Kings (Brooklyn), SouthernQueens and Southern Nassau Counties.* WHEN...From 7 AM to 11 AM EST Saturday.* IMPACTS...Minor to localized moderate flooding in the morevulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Someroads and low lying properties including parking lots, parks,lawns, and homes and businesses with basements near the waterfrontwill experience minor flooding.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Water levels may approach minor coastal floodbenchmarks in a few spots across the south shore back bays tonight.While water levels will be gradually falling over the weekend,additional rounds of minor coastal flooding may linger into Monday.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.

A combination of strong winds, lowrelative humidity, and dry fuels will create a significantlyelevated fire growth potential.
