Rip currents can sweep even the bestswimmers away from shore into deeper water.Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due todangerous surf conditions.Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax andfloat. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in adirection following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face theshore and call or wave for help.

Prepare for limited winddamage.- ACT: Move to safe shelter before the wind becomes hazardous.- POTENTIAL IMPACTS: Limited- Damage to porches, awnings, carports, sheds, and unanchoredmobile homes. Unsecured lightweight objects blown about.- Large tree limbs broken off. If a tornadowarning is issued, be ready to shelter quickly.- POTENTIAL IMPACTS: Extensive- Numerous tornadoes can greatly hinder the execution ofemergency plans.- Tornadoes could produce pockets of extensive destruction,power loss, and communications failures.
