Flood Watch issued May 3 at 2:05PM CDT until May 5 at 1:00PM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to bepossible.* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the followingareas, Brazos, Burleson, Chambers, Coastal Harris, Grimes,Houston, Inland Harris, Madison, Montgomery, Northern Liberty,Polk, San Jacinto, Southern Liberty, Trinity, Walker, Waller andWashington.* WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff has resulted in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.Additional flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.Low-water crossings may be flooded. Extensive river flooding isongoing and additional street flooding remains possible.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- A lull in activity is expected tonight into tomorrow;however, any rainfall that occurs during the overnight hoursmay contribute to the ongoing flooding. The primary focus isfor late Saturday night into Sunday with the potential foradditional heavy rainfall. Between 2 and 3 inches of rainhave fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches arepossible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expectedto begin shortly.HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.SOURCE...Radar.IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urbanareas, highways, streets and underpasses as well asother poor drainage and low-lying areas.* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...Northern Huntsville, Trinity, Groveton, Lovelady, Riverside,Sebastopol and Crabbs Prairie.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
