Heat Advisory issued June 26 at 1:49AM CDT until June 26 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX* WHAT...Heat index values up to 108 expected along the I-35corridor and up to 110 degrees across the Coastal Plains.* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas.* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening.* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heatillnesses.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out ofthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loosefitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morningor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion andheat stroke.To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety andHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks inshaded or air conditioned environments.
