Flash Flood Warning issued May 3 at 4:02PM CDT until May 3 at 4:45PM CDT by NWS Midland/Odessa TXAt 402 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavyrain. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding isalready occurring south of Westbrook.HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.SOURCE...Radar.IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poordrainage and low-lying areas.Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...Colorado City, Champion Creek Reservoir, Lake Colorado City StatePark, Lake Colorado City and Westbrook.This includes the following streams and drainages...Graze Creek, Geneva Creek, Walnut Creek, Morgan Creek, HastingCreek, Jayhawk Creek, Red Bank Creek, Beals Creek, Brushy Creek,North Fork Champion Creek, Little Willow Creek, Sandy Creek,Little Silver Creek, Colorado River, Granger Creek, Camp Creek,Big Silver Creek, Willow Creek, Lone Wolf Creek, South ForkChampion Creek, Buck Creek and Wildhorse Creek.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
