Flood Watch issued May 4 at 8:31AM CDT until May 5 at 1:00PM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to bepossible.* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the followingareas, Brazos, Burleson, Chambers, Coastal Harris, Grimes,Houston, Inland Harris, Madison, Montgomery, Northern Liberty,Polk, San Jacinto, Southern Liberty, Trinity, Walker, Waller andWashington.* WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-watercrossings may be flooded. Extensive street flooding and floodingof creeks and rivers are possible. Area creeks and streams arealready well out of banks with additional heavy rain expected.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- A lull in heavy rain is expected through this evening;however, some scattered showers/storms are possible thisafternoon which may contribute to the ongoing flooding. Thenext round of heavy rainfall is expected late tonight intoSunday.
