Flood Advisory issued May 5 at 4:33PM CDT until May 5 at 7:30PM CDT by NWS Houston/Galveston TX* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessiverainfall is expected.* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the followingcounties, Austin, Colorado, Fort Bend and Wharton.* WHEN...Until 730 PM CDT.* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.Rises in small streams.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 431 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due tothunderstorms. This will cause urban and small streamflooding. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen.- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expectedover the area. This additional rain will result in minorflooding.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Columbus, Eagle Lake, Wallis, Simonton, Altair, Rock Islandand Sheridan.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/floodTurn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
