Coastal Flood Advisory issued May 11 at 1:57AM EDT until May 11 at 5:00AM EDT by NWS Wakefield VA* WHAT...Up to one and a half feet of inundation above groundlevel expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidalwaterways.* WHERE...Surry, James City, Isle of Wight, Newport News andHampton/Poquoson Counties, and Suffolk.* WHEN...Until 5 AM EDT early this morning.* IMPACTS...Shallow flooding is expected in the most vulnerablelocations near the waterfront and shoreline resulting in a lowthreat of property damage. Expect up to one and a half feet ofwater above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Someroads and low lying property including parking lots, parks andlawns near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
