Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 20 at 6:45AM EDT until September 21 at 6:00PM EDT by NWS Wakefield VA* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.* WHERE...The Cities of Norfolk/Portsmouth, Newport News,Hampton/Poquoson, Suffolk, and Chesapeake.* WHEN...Until 6 PM EDT Saturday.* IMPACTS...Shallow flooding is expected in the most vulnerablelocations near the waterfront and shoreline resulting in a lowthreat of property damage. Expect up to one foot of waterabove ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roadsand low lying property including parking lots, parks and lawnsnear the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Additional flooding is likely Sundaythrough Monday.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed.
