Flash Flood Warning issued May 14 at 10:33PM EDT until May 15 at 12:30AM EDT by NWS Wakefield VAAt 1033 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported numerous roadclosures due to high water across the warned area. Between 2 and 4inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5inches are possible in the warned area.HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poordrainage and low-lying areas.Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...Blackstone, Crewe, Victoria, Kenbridge, Nottoway, Fort Barfoot,Spainville, Wilsons, Dundas, Dominy Corner, Blackstone Airport,Forkland, Irby, Pattersons Store, Wellville, Murdocks, NorthWellville, Clay Store, Barrows Store and Darvills.Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize thedangers of flooding.
