For the Beach Hazards Statement, dangerousrip currents.* WHERE...Accomack and Northampton Counties.* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 10 PM EDTTuesday. For the Beach Hazards Statement, through Tuesdayevening.* IMPACTS...Shallow flooding is expected in the most vulnerablelocations near the waterfront and shoreline resulting in a lowthreat of property damage. Expect up to one foot of water aboveground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and lowlying property including parking lots, parks and lawns near thewaterfront will experience shallow flooding. Breaking waves of4 to 5 ft will result in rough surf conditions and a high riskof rip currents.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.
