Coastal Flood Warning issued November 15 at 3:56AM EST until November 15 at 3:00PM EST by NWS Wakefield VA* WHAT...One to two feet of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.* WHERE...Norfolk/Portsmouth and Hampton/Poquoson Counties, andSuffolk and Chesapeake.* WHEN...Until 3 PM EST this afternoon.* IMPACTS...Widespread flooding of vulnerable areas will resultin an elevated threat of property damage to homes and businessesnear the waterfront and shoreline. Water will be 1 to 2 feetabove ground level in some areas resulting in a sufficient depthto close numerous roads and threaten homes and businesses.Flooding will extend inland from the waterfront along tidalrivers and bays resulting in some road closures and flooding ofvehicles.Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. Iftravel is required, do not drive around barricades or throughwater of unknown depth.
