Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 27 at 3:26AM EDT until September 28 at 2:00AM EDT by NWS Wakefield VA* WHAT...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.* WHERE...Lancaster, Middlesex and Mathews Counties.* WHEN...Until 2 AM EDT Saturday.* IMPACTS...Shallow flooding is expected in the most vulnerablelocations near the waterfront and shoreline resulting in a lowthreat of property damage. Expect up to one foot of water aboveground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and lowlying property including parking lots, parks and lawns near thewaterfront will experience shallow flooding.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
