Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 27 at 5:54AM EDT until September 27 at 7:00PM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC* WHAT...Up to one half foot of inundation above ground levelexpected in low lying areas due to tidal flooding.* WHERE...Shoreline in the City of Alexandria and ArlingtonCounty.* WHEN...From 3 PM this afternoon to 7 PM EDT this evening,especially around the time of high tide.* IMPACTS...Water is expected to approach the curb near theintersection of King Street and Strand Street in Alexandria.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides one to one and a half feet abovenormal. The next high tide at Alexandria is at 5:36 PM and 5:53AM.If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may beclosed. Do not drive around barricades or through water ofunknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-proneproperty.
