Heat Advisory issued June 18 at 3:12AM EDT until June 21 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA* WHAT...Heat index values in the upper 90s and lower 100s.* WHERE...Portions of east central Ohio, northwest, southwest, andwestern Pennsylvania, and northern and the northern panhandle ofWest Virginia.* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Friday.* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heatillnesses.Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out ofthe sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loosefitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morningor evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion andheat stroke.To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety andHealth Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks inshaded or air conditioned environments.
